How We Remodeled Our Bathroom With A Limited Budget

Do you feel your bathroom is outdated? Is your bathroom outdated? Everyone loves a modern, spacious bathroom. But, bathroom remodelling can be expensive and exhausting.

You can easily make small changes to your bathroom to create a different vibe, style, or design. It is possible to create a fun, peaceful and happy bathroom with a minimal budget.

These budget-friendly bathroom design tips and ideas will spark your creativity while saving you money.

You will first need to create a moodboard to help you achieve the look that you are after.

You can create a mood board using your favourite colours, textures, and patterns. It doesn't have to be complicated like the one you just saw.

We have difficulty seeing the whole thing. Knowing what colours and style you want for your bathroom is a great way to help.

Create a colour palette. How do you choose the colours that you like and how do they complement each other.

Take into consideration textures. What type of flooring would match your cabinets? Bath rugs and towels with patterns can add texture. Mix different metals such as silver, copper and gold.

A free tool is available to help you create a moodboard easily for your DIY bathroom remodelling project.

Canva is what it's called. Many bloggers use Canva to create digital promotional materials. But you can also use any of the free mood boards templates to design your bathroom remodelling. The mood board I created above using this softer was free.

You will be able to mix and match colours, textures, and accessories for your bathroom, which will help you decide what you should buy or what you can reuse.

CHEAP BATHROOM REMODEL IDEAS

There are quite a few things you can change on a budget. I decided to help and begin the DIY bathroom ideas checklist from the floor, working our way up.

Once you have your design and moodboard ready, you will be able to choose the best fit from this large list.

1. MAKEOVER CHEAP BATHROOM FLOOR

Get rid of those 80's vinyl floors. You don't want a boring floor, but you are tight on funds. There are many affordable options that can make your floor look unique and modern.

Luxury vinyl flooring can be purchased in a variety of styles and colours. They look similar to tiles and wood. They are lightweight and easy to install. We chose the greyish colour, which is in perfect harmony with our original bathroom design.

You can paint your bathroom floor. You might be tempted to think that a bathroom remodel is too difficult.

This is a great way to update your bathroom flooring. This is a quicker and simpler DIY project than changing the entire floor.

A good, reliable primer and waterproof floor & exterior paint are simple project that takes only a few minutes. This is an easy, quick, and affordable way to give your bathroom a stylish look.

Refinish an existing wood floor. HGTV will show you how many wood floors they have saved and restored to life.

You can preserve your wood floors by applying a new stain or enamel to protect them.

2. REPLACE THE BATHROOM MAT

It is an inexpensive way to bring style and texture into your bathroom. You won't be able to find a dull bathroom rug if you look hard enough.

I wanted to bring some colour and fun to the neutral floor so I purchased the black &white Boho bathroom rugs.

3. UPDATE TOILET PAPER HOLDER, TOWEL RACKS

A quick and affordable way to update your bathroom is by installing a matching towel and toilet tissue holder.

There are many options for materials, such as silver, gold or copper. This is where your mood board comes in handy. You can mix and match these metals to create a chic, modern bathroom.

I purchased a set of towel racks and toilet paper holders with strong adhesive. This allows me to not make holes in my bathroom walls. It is easy to put together and the stainless steel material can withstand rust. Visit this website to browse through various toilet paper holder and bathroom accessories.

4. INSTALL AN INEXPENSIVE SHOWER PANEL

If your shower has cracked or been damaged, it's time to make a complete overhaul. You have many options when it comes to choosing between inexpensive bath panels or shower panels.

Instead of purchasing tiles and hiring a crew, consider lightweight, affordable bath panels. They are beautiful and easy to use. You can easily install them because of the adhesive properties.

Refinish your bathtub or shower. If your shower is still in great condition and there are only minor cosmetic issues such as a yellowed surface or cracks, then you can scrub it and paint. This will allow you to save money and simplify the installation process.

5. UPDATE THE SHOWERHEAD

It's a good idea for your showerhead to be replaced with a low-flow model. You can match the colour of the towel rack with the toilet holder.

Low-flow showerheads look great and are very affordable. This will help you save money as well as the environment.

6. BATHROOM WINDOWS IDEAS ON A BUDGET

Consider wallpaper over tiles. Wallpapers are back. Wallpapers are trendy and can be found in a variety of styles, including bold geometric patterns, nature calling flowers, and endless colours.

Bathroom wallpapers are cheaper than tiles. Choose waterproof wallpapers, or stick and peel style. You can easily install and change them so you can make your bathroom look new whenever you like. I chose a geometric boho style from Roommates.

Stick backsplashes on a peel and stick basis. They look like real tiles. These tiles are available in panels and are very easy to put together. They are made from lightweight plastic material and come with an adhesive back.

Right now, we have a grey peel-and-stick subway backsplash in our bathroom. I like it but it is not bright enough for me. So I am going to replace it with the black and white geometric patterns wallpaper.

7. SWITCH THE SOAP DISPENSER

A budget-friendly bathroom renovation is to replace the soap dispenser. A cheap dispenser can add a splash of colour to your bathroom. It is better than looking at the plastic bottle's label.

My bathroom needed some rose gold, so I picked this cute white-rose golden soap dispenser.

8. MINI POTS PAINTED AND GREENERY

Add some decoration to your inexpensive bathroom remodel. Get nature to come in with greens.

Because our bathroom is small, we used miniature faux succulents. I also painted the mini terracotta pots with rose-gold to add a little colour.

You can add cute decorations to your bathroom with small items. Have fun with bathroom decor today.

Making small bathroom changes was fun for me. These DIY ideas can be used in both guest and master bathrooms.

It doesn't matter how big or small your bathroom is, you should start with it. You'll be able to choose the right colours and patterns for your bathroom, as well as what products you will need.
